Property marketing articles to help sell a house:

Top tips for selling houses

There is something in the British psyche that drives many of us to want to own our own home. Despite whatever state the financial markets are in, people will always want to buy and sell houses. During a recession the turnover of property in your local estate agent's window may not be as swift, and the prices those houses sell for may not be as high; but there are still buyers out there looking for a home. Of course there will always be some properties that are easier to sell than others; three bedroom semi detached family homes in good neighbourhoods being among the most popular. But even if you are selling a bed-sit on a busy high street, located between a noisy night club and a gas works, there are tried and tested methods that will attract the right buyer. How to design a good property sales brochure

When selling a house, the printed property sales brochure should be fundamental to your property marketing strategy. Alas, all too often many vendors do not think of the brochure as a 'pro-active sales tool' and they simply regard it as nothing more than a point of reference for prospective buyers, giving them room dimensions and an idea of what the property looks like along with the estate agent's details on should they wish to make an offer. So your house may be prepared, as gleaming windows and a polished front door are all ready to greet your first prospective buyers; but how prepared are you as a seller? Here is a guide to what you should say to buyers and what questions you should ask them.

What is kerb appeal and how can I achieve it?

Kerb appeal is quite simply a measure of how appealing your property is from the outside. People say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but that's exactly what potential home buyers do each time they look into an estate agent's window, pick up a property sales brochure or go to view a house for sale. Kerb appeal can be crucial when trying to sell your home; get it right and you will probably attract more viewings, but if you get it wrong then many potential buyers will simply drive by and decide not to view inside.

The coloured bathroom comeback

Many people marketing their properties for sale are daring to suggest that coloured bathroom suites are set to make a fashion comeback. This article asks: could we really be set for a return to bathing in burgundy? Or is the claim that 'avocado is the new white' simply a sales pitch used by credit-crunched home owners who cannot afford to replace their coloured bathroom suites with contemporary white?
