How much does graphic design cost?
Because every design project is different, there is no such thing as a standard cost of graphic design. At your initial graphic design consultation your designer will give you an accurate estimate of how long your design will take to create; this will then give you an indication of how much it is likely to cost. Don't worry if you only have a limited budget; our design studio charges very reasonable hourly rates and we always endeavour to create the best designs as efficiently as possible. How long does graphic design normally take?
The initial design concepts are usually available for you to see within 3 working days. How long it takes after this will depend on how many refinements you want to make. Your designer will be able to give you an accurate estimate of timescale at your initial consultation. We're used to working to strict deadlines, so don't worry if you have a strict timescale - our designers will pull out all the stops to ensure you get your designs on time.
Will I be able to talk to my graphic designer?
Yes, you will be able to talk on the phone with your designer, chat on Facebook, send an email, text or even call in to the studio (by appointment) to discuss your design requirements.
How can I be sure I'll like the design you create for me?
All of our design packages come with our 'unlimited refinements' policy. This means that after your initial concept design has been approved by you, we will continue to refine your design until it meets with your complete satisfaction.
Do I have to pay all of the graphic design fees in advance?
No. For small design briefs (under £300) we only ask for payment on completion. For larger projects, we only ask for a deposit of 25% of the estimated overall cost. The remainder is only invoiced when the project (or mutually agreed phase) has been completed to your satisfaction. For on-going projects we will invoice you monthly for the work that has been done that month.
If I get my own in-house artist or web designer at a later date, can they use or re-size the artwork you produce?
Yes, of course. We will provide you with a back-up CD that will contain all the print and web ready formats you'll need (tif, jpg, gif, pdf, eps). This includes original high resolution Adobe Photoshop files (psd) which can be easily re-sized without a loss of quality.
Who will own the copyright to the graphic design?
You will own the copyright once the final payment is received.
Can you talk to my printer to arrange for my design to be used on my letterhead and business card?
Yes. We'll gladly liaise with your printer to ensure optimum reproduction of your design. Alternatively we can recommend a printer to you.
